Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients with clinical confidence
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status, trends, and responses to interventions
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage ventilators per established protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team — physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy — to develop and execute patient-centered plans
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in rapid response or code situations as needed
• Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and expectations with empathy and clarity
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (eligible or compact licensure accepted per facility policy)
• Prior ICU experience preferred; solid critical care fundamentals welcomed
• BLS and ACLS certification required or must be obtained per facility timelines
• Comfort with ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and invasive monitoring
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and prioritization skills in high-acuity settings
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Ventilator management and oxygenation strategies
• Medication/dose titration for vasoactive agents
• IV therapy, central line care, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Clear clinical documentation and handoff communication
