Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction and clinical oversight for hospital staff, ensuring policies and procedures are followed
• Coordinate patient flow and optimize nursing resource assignment to maintain quality care and throughput
• Organize workflow and delegate tasks so teams know priorities and patients get timely attention
• Monitor employee productivity, deliver constructive feedback, and coach staff for continuous improvement
• Serve as the administrative decision-maker on shift in collaboration with clinical leaders and the CNO
• Respond to patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy, resolving issues promptly
• Work closely with charge nurses and both clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure smooth operations
• Support complex clinical care needs (ventilator management, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes) during supervisory duties

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana
• Degree from a Nursing Program (per job posting)
• Minimum 3 years RN experience in a hospital setting, recent ICU experience preferred
• Current CPR required
• ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
• Experience with ventilator-supported patients, multiple IV pumps, A-lines, invasive lines, and chest tubes
• Demonstrated leadership, resource nursing, patient flow, and nurse supervision experience
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation; ability to lead teams and manage conflict
