Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and clinical assessments to prioritize care and improve outcomes
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and care team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Respond promptly to critical events and assist with emergency procedures
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Recent ER experience preferred; comfortable in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem shifts and integrate quickly with teams
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility on-boarding checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required/preferred
• BSN preferred for career advancement opportunities

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid assessment
• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm recognition
• IV therapy, medication administration, and acute care procedures
• Familiarity with emergency department workflows and protocols
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
