Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a busy Level 2 Trauma Center
• Collaborate with a supportive, welcoming team known for exceptional teamwork and cultural sensitivity
• Manage patient ratios typically 4:1, with flexibility up to 7:1 on behavioral health holds
• Utilize Cerner documentation system and advanced equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Deliver patient-centered care using AIDET communication and keeping patients informed throughout their visit
• Float within all sections of the Emergency Department while maintaining excellent clinical standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2+ years of nursing experience including at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date
• ENPC certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire
• Preferred experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with over 100,000 annual visits
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and give real-time feedback

• Emergency Department nursing in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Level 2 Trauma and comprehensive stroke care experience
• Cerner electronic health record documentation
• Baxter pumps and GE monitoring systems
• Cultural competency serving a multi-lingual community
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
