Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour ED/ER shifts; exact start/end times and days vary and will be provided by the facility

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in the ED/ER
Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients with varying acuity
Administer medications, start IVs, and manage emergency interventions safely
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to develop and execute patient plans
Document accurately and timely in the patient record and communicate critical changes
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
Maintain situational awareness and contribute to a calm, efficient emergency department environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN licensure
Previous emergency department experience preferred
Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable
Ability to function effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced situations
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Proficiency in IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
Familiarity with common ED equipment and monitoring
Effective clinical documentation and EHR navigation
Calm decision-making under pressure and strong prioritization
