Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting to the emergency department
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record and communicate changes in condition
• Support patient and family education, emotional support, and discharge planning when appropriate
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Clinical experience in an emergency department is preferred
• Comfort working 12-hour shift patterns and in a fast-paced ED environment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Current immunizations and ability to complete facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid clinical assessment in emergency settings
• IV insertion, medication administration, and advanced cardiac life support knowledge
• Familiarity with emergency procedures and protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork in high-acuity situations
• Comfort using electronic medical records and documenting clearly
