Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients in the emergency department quickly and accurately
Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with acute conditions
Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform necessary procedures safely
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to coordinate rapid treatment plans
Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the EMR
Educate patients and families about care plans and next steps
Respond to emergencies and escalating situations with calm, decisive action

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Louisiana preferred)
Clinical experience in Emergency Department or ED/ER settings preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and multi-tasking abilities in fast-paced care
Current immunizations and ability to comply with facility credentialing

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and acute care assessment skills
IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedural competency
Emergency department workflows and rapid clinical decision-making
Clear documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency
Team communication, collaboration, and patient-centered care
