Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Progressive Care Unit under the supervision of the Unit Director
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and deliver timely nursing interventions
• Deliver ACLS/BLS-level care and participate in emergency response as needed
• Collaborate closely with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Document patient care accurately and follow hospital policies and state nursing board regulations
• Support patients and families with clear communication, education, and emotional presence

Qualifications

• Current Maine RN license (required)
• BLS and ACLS required (to be obtained within 30 days of hire)
• Telemetry experience preferred
• MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities
• Willingness to work flexible night hours

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) practices and patient care
• ACLS & BLS protocols and emergency response
• Patient assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization
• Electronic medical record documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to thrive on night shift and manage competing priorities
