Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
• Assess and monitor patient status; recognize and escalate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the chart
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response or code situations as needed

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact RN eligibility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred
• Prior acute care or med-surg experience preferred; experience in behavioral or rehab settings is a plus
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, and nursing documentation
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and basic wound care skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting practices
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently during night shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education and team collaboration
