Roles & Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist, delivering compassionate, hands-on care
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in accordance with PT board and facility policy
• Assist in maintaining the therapy department and keeping the treatment area safe and organized
• Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences to coordinate multidisciplinary plans
• Train and support restorative aides and caregivers, including in-service education delivery
• Instruct patients, families, and nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training for safe discharge
• Report equipment problems and help ensure treatment tools are maintained and functional
• Communicate patient progress, problems, and plans clearly with supervisors and the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in good standing with the state board (required)
• Proficient with Casamba and PointClickCare or similar electronic documentation systems
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with PT board documentation standards
• Experience providing patient care in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting
• Comfort delivering in-service training and mentoring restorative aides or caregivers
• Reliable communicator who collaborates well with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Must meet continuing education requirements per state practices

Education

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (per state board) — current and maintained
