Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-03-2026

End Date: 09-02-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Assess and treat diverse patient populations including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological cases
Develop individualized rehabilitation plans for deconditioned, TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and recovery timelines
Document patient progress and adjust treatment approaches based on clinical findings

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Ability to work independently across multiple hospital units

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning abilities
Experience with general medical, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Adaptability to work in fast-paced acute care environments
