Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alerts
Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to support patients with secondary mental health diagnoses
Administer medications safely and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner
Float to ED psych holds or other MedSurg floors as needed to support the broader hospital team
Ensure patient safety through video monitoring and appropriate use of chemical restraints when necessary

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with the ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam
Psychiatric experience preferred but not required
Must pass SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
Cerner electronic medical record system
Safe medication administration and sterile technique
Patient assessment for both medical and behavioral health concerns
De-escalation and safety monitoring techniques
