Location: Merced, California

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation (Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional outpatient physical therapy services across diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized treatment plans for orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions
Support early mobility programs and contribute to the hospital's stroke certification initiatives
Float between inpatient acute care and outpatient settings to meet patient needs across the continuum
Document patient progress using Cerner EMR and maintain compliance with JCAHO standards

Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification required
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
Ability to work with diverse patient populations including orthopedic, neurological, and pulmonary conditions
Willingness to float between inpatient and outpatient settings

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency with electronic medical records, preferably Cerner
Flexibility to adapt to various clinical settings and patient populations
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
