Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
• Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
• Collaborate with a dedicated Charge Nurse and PCT team to maintain excellent patient ratios of 1:3-4
• Float to other telemetry units including Neuro Tele as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
• Complete required SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Administer non-titrating drips and support patients with CPAP and high-flow oxygen needs

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma cardiac telemetry experience
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with two attempts allowed
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Clean-shaven for men to meet fit test requirements
• Reliable transportation required for travel team assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
• Competent in sterile field techniques for Foley and central line procedures
• Comfortable floating between multiple telemetry units
• Experience with lung transplant, esophagectomy, and detox patient populations
• Proficient with Philips telemetry monitors and Cerner EMR documentation
