Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-03-2026

End Date: 09-02-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy services to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Assess and treat patients with diverse conditions including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological diagnoses
Develop individualized rehabilitation plans for deconditioned, TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
Document patient progress and adjust treatment approaches based on clinical outcomes

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Ability to work independently across multiple hospital departments

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning skills
Experience with general medical, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation
Ability to manage diverse caseloads in fast-paced acute care settings
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
