Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across antepartum, triage, labor, postpartum, and newborn stages
Administer medications including Pitocin, insulin, fluids, and antibiotics with precision
Monitor patients using Alaris IV pumps and maintain safe 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
Collaborate with the charge nurse to ensure smooth unit operations without taking patient assignments
Support a low-volume unit with 100-125 births annually in a close-knit community setting

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of labor and delivery experience
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing
Comfortable managing common drips and newborn care
Ability to float and task in MedSurg when needed
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
