Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple specialties
Float between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units, adapting quickly to diverse patient needs
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications including heparin drips while maintaining strict safety protocols
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Support patients recovering from cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, and general surgery procedures

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for diverse patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records and Alaris pumps
Comfortable floating across Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation units
Experience with telemetry monitoring and reading cardiac strips
Able to titrate heparin drips safely and effectively
Flexible and adaptable to changing assignments with short notice
