Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips like Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver fast-paced, patient-centered care on a bustling Neuro Telemetry unit
Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed, showcasing your adaptability and clinical expertise
Maintain strict sterile technique during procedures and confidently manage trached patients, CVAs, and complex neuro cases

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
Level 1 trauma experience is a must
Neuro experience highly preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
Experience safely titrating cardiac and insulin drips
Comfortable with central line care, Foley insertion, and sterile technique
Cerner EMR experience is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
