Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding with attention to aseptic technique and safety standards
• Manage Pyxis dispensing workflow: deliveries, inventory control, monthly outdates and outdate processing
• Conduct crash cart checks and refills to ensure readiness for emergencies
• Triages phone calls and responds to medication messages promptly and professionally
• Support medication workflows across ER, ICU, inpatient, imaging, cath lab and hospice settings
• Collaborate with the pharmacy manager and multidisciplinary care teams to optimize medication delivery

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) via PTCB
• Colorado Pharmacy Technician license (must submit license)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience with sterile compounding and hospital pharmacy operations
• Valid driver’s license on file (60-mile radius requirement) and ability to be in-state for orientation week
• Friendly, flexible, hardworking attitude with strong attention to detail

Knowledge & Skills

• Sterile compounding procedures and sterile product handling
• Pyxis system for dispensing, inventory and outdate management
• EPIC electronic health record (medication workflows/charting)
• Crash cart maintenance and emergency medication preparation
• Phone triage and responding to medication-related messages
• Experience across acute care areas: ER, ICU, inpatient, imaging, cath lab and hospice
