Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Specialty Clinic team to improve patient access, safety, and overall experience
• Partner with leadership to optimize scheduling, referrals, and clinic throughput
• Standardize and improve workflows to reduce wait times and strengthen clinic efficiency
• Ensure clinical policies, procedures, and competencies are current and consistently followed
• Monitor key metrics (flow, access, quality indicators) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain Joint Commission readiness and infection control compliance for ambulatory services
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, orientation, and performance development for nursing and clinic staff
• Manage equipment and supply needs to support high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• 5+ years of varied RN experience, including at least 1 year in ambulatory care
• 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in healthcare
• Active, unrestricted RN license in the U.S. or ability to obtain Alaska license within 6 months
• Active BLS certification required
• Clinical competency and manager competency to be completed within 3 months of hire
• Proven leadership, change management, and team-building skills

Education

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and ambulatory care workflows
• Expertise in patient safety, infection control, and regulatory readiness
• Experience with clinic operations, patient flow, and access management
• Quality improvement mindset and ability to monitor and act on key metrics
• Comfort with electronic health records and basic computer/technical equipment
• Excellent oral and written communication and conflict resolution skills
