Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule (varies), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $37 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, direct patient care during overnight shifts
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Support patient comfort, dignity, and emotional needs overnight
Assist with admissions, discharges, and handoffs to day staff

Qualifications

Current LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in Maine)
Clinical experience in long-term care, post-acute, or similar preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
Comfort with medication administration, wound care, and bedside assessments
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and documentation skills
Ability to prioritize and manage time during a busy overnight shift
Comfortable with electronic health records and point-of-care charting
Competent in medication administration, IV basics (as applicable), and wound care
Skilled at patient and family communication and education
