Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as an LPN on night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform routine assessments and report changes in patient condition to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver seamless care
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes with clear communication
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the facility’s health records system
• Assist with meal, hygiene, and mobility needs while promoting resident dignity

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — North Carolina license preferred or eligible
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shift rotations and ability to work alternating weeks (4 shifts / 3 shifts)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a care team
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program (LPN diploma or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and timely documentation
• Basic wound care and infection control practices
• Patient assessment and recognizing changes in condition
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient-centered care
