Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days as scheduled), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Day

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients following plan of care
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to facility policy
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team
Perform assessments, assist with ADLs, and prioritize patient comfort and safety
Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required or obtain upon hire)
Comfortable with medication administration, patient assessments, and documentation
Reliable, professional, with strong communication and teamwork skills
Previous LPN experience in a clinical setting preferred

Education

Completion of an accredited LPN/Licensed Practical Nurse program or equivalent vocational training

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of LPN scope of practice and nursing fundamentals
Familiarity with medication administration and basic wound care
Competence with clinical documentation and electronic health records
Strong patient communication, time management, and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and adapt to changing needs
