Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care to patients during the overnight shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the patient record
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and promptly communicate concerns to nursing leadership
• Support admissions, discharges, and safe patient transfers with attention to detail
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, person-centered care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
• Experience as an LPN in acute care, long-term care, or related clinical settings preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on overnight teams

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

• Medication administration and documentation
• Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Wound care and basic clinical procedures
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting and accurate documentation
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Teamwork, time management, and clear communication with patients and families
