Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direction and guidance to hospital staff on policies, procedures and clinical decision-making to ensure safe, efficient patient care
Organize and allocate nursing resources to optimize patient flow and unit performance
Monitor staff productivity, coach performance, and give constructive feedback to support professional growth
Collaborate closely with charge nurses, clinical teams and the Chief Nursing Officer on administrative and clinical decisions
Respond to patient and family concerns, problem-solve escalations, and ensure high standards of patient experience
Oversee use and operation of advanced medical equipment (ventilators, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes) and supervise clinical care across age groups

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana
Minimum 3 years' RN experience in a hospital setting with recent ICU or critical care experience
Current CPR required
ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Demonstrated experience with ventilator support, multiple IV pumps, arterial/invasive lines and chest tube management
Proven leadership experience (resource nurse, charge nurse collaboration, supervision) and strong critical thinking skills

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced nursing principles and postoperative/medical patient care
Strong cardiac monitoring knowledge and critical care skills
Excellent leadership, communication and people skills across all levels
Ability to manage patient flow, prioritize resources and lead under pressure
Customer-service orientation, teamwork, and project development abilities
