Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Support mobility and safe transfers to reduce fall risk
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection-control practices
• Accurately document care provided and communicate with the care team
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and health screenings as required
• Comfort working with the geriatric population and demonstrating patience and empathy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a care team

Education

• GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and hygiene (ADLs)
• Knowledge of safe body mechanics and transfer techniques
• Familiarity with monitoring vital signs and recognizing changes
• Understanding of infection control and universal precautions
• Good documentation practices and clear communication with nursing staff
