Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Support mobility and safe transfers while promoting resident independence
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with meals, toileting, grooming, and comfort measures with dignity and respect
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working in long-term care or assisted living settings
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work evening shifts as scheduled

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved GNA program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care and common age-related conditions
• Skilled in safe transfer and ambulation techniques
• Knowledge of infection control and proper hygiene practices
• Ability to document care accurately and communicate observations
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
