Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention practices
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable environment that promotes dignity and well-being
• Support mealtime assistance and hydration needs with patience and respect
• Build trusting relationships with residents and communicate effectively with families and team members

Qualifications

• Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar setting is a plus
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass background checks
• Dependable, patient, and able to work independently on per-diem schedules

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Basic understanding of infection control and hygiene practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and accurately document care provided
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
