Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies safely and efficiently
• Follow established CT protocols and adjust parameters for optimal image quality while minimizing radiation dose
• Provide compassionate patient care, including patient positioning, education, and monitoring during exams
• Ensure accurate patient identification, documentation and image labeling in the electronic record
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and clinical staff to prioritize and coordinate timely imaging
• Maintain and perform basic quality assurance on imaging equipment and report technical issues promptly
• Complete required competency testing and follow facility policies for infection control and safety

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in CT
• ARRT certification in Radiography (X-ray)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Active Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, color vision, and required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, PPD/IGRA)
• Successful license/certification verification and completion of a physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of CT protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Strong patient positioning and radiation safety practices
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS and digital imaging workflows
• Excellent communication and patient care skills, including working with diverse populations
• Ability to follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe imaging environment
• Troubleshooting basic CT equipment issues and escalating when needed
