Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support mobility and safe transfers following facility protocols
- Monitor and document resident condition, reporting changes to the nursing team
- Assist with meal service and feeding as needed, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control procedures
- Communicate respectfully and clearly with residents, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (Pennsylvania) required
- Comfortable working in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Willingness to follow facility policies, pass background checks, and complete onboarding
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of resident personal care and basic nursing assistance
- Ability to take and document basic observations (e.g., vital signs, intake/output)
- Safe resident handling and transfer awareness
- Teamwork and clear communication within a care team
- Basic infection prevention and control practices
- Time management and prioritization on short shifts
