Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility needs
Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with team members
Follow infection control, safety protocols and facility policies at all times
Create a warm, respectful environment that preserves resident dignity and independence

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility for adult residents
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a care team
Background check and any facility-required screenings (as applicable)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (required for certification)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic bedside care
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
Compassionate interpersonal skills and patience with older adults
Basic familiarity with electronic health records or charting systems
