Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform routine patient checks including vital signs and reporting changes promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility to protect patient dignity
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Support mealtime assistance and nutritional needs while respecting resident preferences
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Registered on the appropriate state CNA registry (or eligible to register)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background checks and required screenings
• Comfortable with hands-on resident care and documentation
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
• Good charting and communication skills with clinical staff
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide empathetic care
