Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule (varies by need); typical evening shift 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening/PM)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, toileting, bathing, and grooming
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Support mealtime needs and assist with feeding when required
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Follow infection control and safety procedures consistently
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with colleagues and families

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania required
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility policy
Dependable transportation to Gettysburg Center and reliable attendance
Comfort working in a team-oriented, resident-focused environment

Education

High school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with residents and team members
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety standards
Accurate documentation and attention to detail
Compassion, patience, and the ability to prioritize resident dignity
