Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning
Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient condition changes
Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control practices
Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team about patient needs
Support resident dignity and comfort by responding promptly and respectfully

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
Active authorization to work in New Mexico (state CNA registry) as applicable
Comfort working overnight shifts and adapting to variable per diem schedules
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Willingness to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
Familiarity with infection control and resident safety practices
Clear, timely documentation and communication with the care team
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced long-term care setting
Teamwork mindset and a patient-centered attitude
