Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, Night shift, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM (12-hour), schedule varies

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care and assistance with activities of daily living
Help patients with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and toileting while preserving dignity
Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
Assist nursing team with safe patient transfers and positioning
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care
Follow infection prevention, safety protocols and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads of state-approved programs are welcome
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Able to communicate clearly with patients, families and care teams

Education

Completion of state-approved CNA program (required or completed)
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Familiarity with ADLs, vital sign collection and basic clinical observations
Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
Good communication, teamwork and time-management skills
Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
