Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers using proper techniques
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Assist licensed staff with treatments and timely documentation in the patient record
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to promote excellent care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current state CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient hygiene
• Taking and recording vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Infection control procedures and safe patient handling
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Effective teamwork and communication with clinical staff
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
