Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists and the cardiac team during LHC, RHC, PCI and device procedures, ensuring patient safety throughout each case
• Prepare and operate GE cath lab imaging and monitoring equipment with precision
• Manage mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, IABP) and provide ventilator management when needed
• Set up and maintain sterile fields, instruments and supplies to uphold strict infection control standards
• Document procedures, patient status and interventions accurately in Meditech EMR
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and respond quickly and competently during emergent situations
• Collaborate closely with RNs, physicians and techs to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
• Maintain inventory, ensure equipment readiness and participate in unit quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience (explicit requirement)
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Impella, IABP and ventilator management (must-have skills)
• Experience with common cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI and PPM care
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and GE cath lab equipment
• Preferred: vascular/peripheral intervention or electrophysiology (EP) experience
• Able to work independently with a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac catheterization procedures: LHC, RHC, PCI
• Temporary mechanical circulatory support: Impella and IABP
• Pacemaker (PPM) support and procedure assistance
• Ventilator management and basic respiratory monitoring
• Meditech EMR documentation and charting
• Operation and troubleshooting of GE imaging/equipment
• Strict sterile technique, instrument handling and infection control
• Clear communication, situational awareness and teamwork in high-acuity settings
