Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
- Document care accurately and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Help create a positive, dignified environment for every resident
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Successful completion of a state-approved CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills including vital signs, ADL assistance, and patient transfers
- Infection control and proper use of PPE
- Accurate documentation and charting practices
- Compassionate patient interaction and dignity-preserving care
- Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
