Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Take and record vital signs and monitor for changes in condition
Document care accurately and communicate observations to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and mobility, following facility protocols
Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control standards

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required; must meet New York state requirements)
Comfortable with resident care duties and safe patient handling
Ability to pass background check and pre-employment screening
Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained within facility timeframe

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient-centered care and basic nursing support
Vital signs measurement and basic charting/documentation
Infection control principles and safe handling techniques
Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
