Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Take and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Help create a comfortable, respectful atmosphere that preserves dignity

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — NY certification preferred
High school diploma or GED (see education section)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to care for others
Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts

Education

High school diploma or GED
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program completion and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation
Infection control and standard precautions
Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes
Teamwork, time management, and clear communication
Compassion, patience, and respect for resident dignity
