Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Measure and record vital signs accurately and promptly
Provide compassionate, respectful care while preserving patient dignity
Support nursing staff with routine procedures and patient transfers
Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep everyone safe
Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team to ensure quick follow-up

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) valid in Pennsylvania
CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
Comfortable performing patient handling tasks and following safe lifting protocols
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and comfort measures
Vital signs measurement and recognition of changes
Infection prevention and control practices
Clear, concise documentation and handoff communication
Teamwork and the ability to follow care plans
