Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) to maintain patient dignity
• Perform and record vital signs accurately to support timely clinical decisions
• Assist with patient mobility and transfers while following safe body mechanics and protocols
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated acute care
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and urgent needs, prioritizing patient safety

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification (required)
• Experience or familiarity with acute care settings preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks and health screens
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on a fast-paced unit

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of patient care procedures in acute settings
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs and observing patient status
• Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control standards
• Comfortable with bedside assistance, safe patient handling, and mobility support
• Good teamwork, time management, and clear communication with clinical staff
