Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients following plan of care
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to facility policy
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team
- Perform assessments, assist with ADLs, and prioritize patient comfort and safety
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required or obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable with medication administration, patient assessments, and documentation
- Reliable, professional, with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous LPN experience in a clinical setting preferred
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/Licensed Practical Nurse program or equivalent vocational training
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of LPN scope of practice and nursing fundamentals
- Familiarity with medication administration and basic wound care
- Competence with clinical documentation and electronic health records
- Strong patient communication, time management, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and adapt to changing needs
