Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (day); evening on-call 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM weeknights; Weekend 24-hour on-call shifts (rotating weekends)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of image-guided interventional radiology procedures including angiography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, nephrostomy/stent placement, biopsies, abscess drainage, thoracentesis and paracentesis
- Provide consistent daytime clinical coverage and respond to evening and weekend on-call emergencies in a timely, calm manner
- Deliver high-quality procedural care using best practices and patient-centered communication
- Document procedures and patient care accurately in Epic to ensure continuity and team communication
- Collaborate with referring physicians, nursing, and allied health staff to coordinate peri-procedural care
- Participate in credentialing and onboarding processes to meet facility requirements and ensure seamless coverage
- Maintain readiness for stroke/interventional neuro procedures (stroke thrombectomy preferred) when called upon
Qualifications
- MD or DO (or equivalent) with completion of Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology training/fellowship
- Board certified or board eligible in Radiology/Interventional Radiology
- Active or ability to obtain North Dakota medical license (ND license required prior to start)
- Demonstrated experience with the core IR procedure set (angiography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, PICC/central line/port insertions, nephrostomy, biopsies, drainages, Y90/TACE, vertebroplasty, etc.)
- Stroke thrombectomy/neurointerventional experience preferred but not required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain)
- Comfort with locum/contract workflows, timely completion of credentialing paperwork (credentialing timeframe ~60-90 days)
Education
- MD or DO (or equivalent)
- Radiology residency completion
- Interventional Radiology fellowship or equivalent training
- Board certification or eligibility in Radiology/Interventional Radiology
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in image-guided vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures
- Proficient user of Epic electronic medical record for documentation and order entry
- Strong procedural judgment and ability to triage and manage emergency cases
- Experience with vascular access devices, IVC filters, TIPS, cryoablation and Y90/TACE
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently during on-call shifts and collaborate during daytime practice
