Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
Provide safe, compassionate bedside care and mobility assistance
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Support meal service and feeding needs, ensuring dignity and comfort
Maintain accurate documentation of care and resident status
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

Active GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — state certification required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain
Comfortable working with older adults and supportive of person-centered care
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Reliable, punctual, and able to communicate clearly with residents and team members
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

High school diploma or GED
GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of ADLs and geriatric care fundamentals
Basic vital sign measurement and monitoring
Good documentation skills and attention to detail
Infection control principles and safe patient handling
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with nursing staff
