Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care that preserves dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living—bathing, dressing, grooming, and mealtime support
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control practices
• Document care thoroughly and timely in facility records to ensure continuity
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• CPR/BLS certification (current or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable with hands-on resident care and basic clinical tasks
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to communicate clearly with residents and team
• Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and immunization verification
• Previous long-term care or nursing home experience preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care: ADLs, transfers, feeding assistance, and vital signs
• Strong observation and reporting skills—you notice the details that matter
• Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE usage
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Team player mindset with clear, respectful communication
