Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for telemetry and medical-surgical patients — monitor, assess, and respond to changes in condition
• Operate and interpret bedside telemetry monitoring and ensure patients are hardwired to monitors when indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to create and execute individualized patient plans
• Perform timely admissions, discharges, and quick-turnover care with efficiency and compassion
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR and communicate clear handoffs at shift change
• Support unit flow by floating to other areas as needed and helping maintain safe patient ratios

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (experience requirement listed as 2 years)
• Telemetry competency and progressive care (PCU/step-down) experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, short-stay/quick-turnover environment and floating between units

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and telemetry patient management
• Progressive care and step-down nursing skills
• Inpatient medical-surgical care best practices
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record workflows
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and delegation skills
• Teamwork, patient-focused communication, and adaptability during high turnover
