Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the overnight shift
• Perform timely and thorough patient assessments and documentation
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Respond promptly to patient changes and emergency situations
• Support patient and family education and discharge planning
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols at all times
• Contribute to a positive work environment and mentor peers when possible

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Prior acute care or med-surg experience preferred for overnight coverage
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and communicate effectively

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Diploma-prepared RNs with active licensure are considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) documentation
• Wound care and basic procedural nursing skills
• Infection prevention and safety protocols
• Clear communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Prioritization and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
