Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer advanced cardio-pulmonary treatments to patients according to physicians' verbal or written orders, ensuring safety and high-quality care
- Perform and support diagnostic cardiac procedures such as EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitors, event monitors, and EEGs as needed
- Cross-train across the cardio side of the department to provide flexible coverage and broaden your clinical skill set
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and complete required profile and credential paperwork promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to develop and implement individualized respiratory and cardiac care plans
- Provide patient and family education on therapies and procedures in a compassionate, clear manner
- Follow facility policies and maintain required certifications and state licensure in good standing
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — required
- Massachusetts Registered Respiratory Therapist License in-hand at time of upload — required
- Active RRT Certification through the NBRC — required
- Active American Heart Association BLS — required
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification — required
- Minimum 5 years current RRT experience — required
- Meditech Expanse experience — strongly preferred
- Supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years — required
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
- Must reside outside 50 miles of the facility to be eligible (facility restriction)
Education
- No specific degree listed in the posting — required credentials and certifications (RRT, NBRC, state license, BLS, NRP) are the primary requirements

- Cardio-pulmonary care fundamentals and advanced respiratory treatments
- EKG acquisition and interpretation basics

- Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and documentation skills
- Ability to cross-train and adapt to varied department needs
