Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and X-ray examinations across adult and pediatric populations, ensuring diagnostic image quality
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for reactions
• Operate PACS and modality systems (Siemens, Toshiba, Canon, Synapse, OnePacs) and perform image post-processing including 3D rendering and MPR
• Provide compassionate patient care: explain procedures, obtain histories, and maintain patient safety and dignity
• Demonstrate radiation safety best practices and adhere to facility protocols and isolation precautions
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture as needed for contrast studies
• Document studies accurately in Epic/EPIC RIS-HIS and support timely communication with radiologists
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide reliable coverage for nights and occasional weekends
• Assist with daily unit workflows, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and help maintain equipment readiness

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) registration required; ARRT CT certification preferred
• BLS certification required (or obtain upon hire)
• Minimum 1 year of radiography/CT experience required; 2–3 years in CT and X-ray preferred
• Comfortable working evenings, participating in on-call rotation, and covering occasional weekends
• Experience with PACS systems and Epic charting preferred
• Strong patient-care skills and the ability to work in acute care and emergency settings

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program (Associate degree or equivalent preferred)
• Additional CT-specific training or certification strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging and multi-detector CT protocols (including CTA and vascular CTA)
• General radiography/X-ray proficiency
• Contrast media preparation and administration
• Radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Starting peripheral IVs and venipuncture
• PACS operation and image post-processing (3D rendering, MPR)
• Familiarity with Siemens, Toshiba, Canon, Shimadzu imaging equipment
• Epic/EPIC RIS-HIS, Synapse and OnePacs workflow and charting
